New software for Symbian mobile phones will be able to recognise a song – and
name the singer – simply by listening to it, according to vendor
Magix.
The AudioID module comes as a free download for registered users of Magix
Ringtone Maker 2007.
The company says all you need to do is to hold your phone up to the
loudspeaker playing the music you want identified.
The new £19.99 version of Ringtone Maker, available from Tuesday 13 March,
comes with a collection of mp3s and ringtones and allows you to load your own.
It also loads logos, animated backgrounds and video ringtones.
