Digital 's Green Power range has been designed primarily to save power.
The drives also do not have stated spin speeds, but rather a range of spin
speeds under the Intellipower moniker (5,400-7,200rpm).
The WD10EACS features four 250GB discs giving it its 1TB capacity. It also
has a 16MB cache and a seek time of 8.9ms.
Intellipark technology is included and automatically unloads the heads when
the drive is idle, reducing drag and therefore lowering power consumption.
You also get Intelliseek, which calculates optimum seek speeds to lower
noise, vibration and power usage.
