Freedom2surf has launched a new pay-as-you-go broadband package.
The Cascade Start package has a monthly fee of £13.99, provides an up to 8Mbp/s connection and comes with an initial download allowance of 0.5 GB per month. Consumers can however buy additional 1GB of capacity at 99 pence per Gb.
The service is available from today Tuesday 4th April with free activation for those who sign-up for a six-month contract. The company said there is no charge for customers who migrate from other broadband providers.
So that users can track their download usage, the service will send customers an email update as they approach their download limit. This will allow them to buy extra capacity if they want to ensure they have plenty of time to purchase additional capacity and enjoy an uninterrupted online experience.
In addition the company said it has overhauled its other broadband packages. They all offer up to 8 Mbp/s speeds and have a £49.99 set up fee but the download capacities are staggered.
The Cascade Lite package gives a monthly download allowance of 5 Gb, the Home package 20 Gb and the Cascade Plus 50 Gb with an additional 50 Gb for £6 extra.
Richard Manly, sales and marketing director, freedom2surf explained; "The broadband market is evolving quickly and a one size fits all approach to broadband is not what consumers are looking for.
"freedom2surf has conducted comprehensive customer research and developed the Cascade product range to give consumers the flexibility to pick a broadband package which really meets their needs, whether they be a light or heavy internet user."
