Yahoo and Research in Motion have
detailed their plans to deliver
Yahoo web services on RIM’s BlackBerry devices.
The firms first announced the content deal at a trade show in January, but
patent problems at the portable email device manufacturer may have delayed the
launch.
Now that issue is resolved the firms have announced that they will put the
Yahoo Go Mobile service, which includes email, messaging, and Yahoo search, onto
the BlackBerry.
The service is live in the US now, and will be rolled across other locations
in the next couple of weeks. Yahoo Messenger is already available for O2
customers in the UK.
