With its impressive gaming performance and reasonable price, Nvidia’s Geforce
6600GT is a popular choice in the mainstream graphics card market.
Aopen’s latest card based on this chip has a slightly faster memory clock and
memory chips than the reference design. The core clock remains at 500MHz while
the 128MB of 1.6nanosecond DDR3 memory is clocked at 550MHz (1.1GHz effective).
That’s 50MHz faster than the standard clock speed, while the memory beats the
standard 6600GT chips, which run at 2nanoseconds. The card also has two DVI
connectors as opposed to the normal one and comes bundled with two games.
