Overall Not quiet enough to put in a silent PC, but it’s a stylish way to keep your dual core cool

The Silent Knight fan supports a wide range of CPUs, from Intel’s sockets 478 and 775 and AMD’s AM2, 939, 940 and 754 sockets, but you’ll have to do some careful sizing up if you have a smaller case as it measures 115x140x110mm.

Six copper heatpipes and 128 copper plates cool down the CPU. It’s designed in two halves, with a quiet, slide-bearing, 92mm fan lit by a blue LED.

The design is such that should the fan fail, you can easily replace it. A plate needs to be screwed to the underside of the board to install the fan, but the clear instruction manual helps.
