Time has confirmed it is relaunching in the UK within weeks, despite going out of business last summer owing millions of pounds and leaving many customers without machines for which they had paid.
Now called Time UK Factory, it is starting a direct sales operation called Timeuk.com, which will start trading in mid February.
The family that owned Granville Technology Group set up a complicated legal structure that involved its various businesses, including Tiny and Time. It went bust in July 2005. Now Time will operate from the same factory, which the family bought back from the administrators.
The land on which the factory sits was owned by another company run by the same family, and never went to the administrators.
Time UK Factory will offer low-end laptops and PCs starting from £499, and a 42in plasma TV, with more to follow. Products will be sold direct, and there are currently no plans to again open high street shops.
Brian Trevaskiss, marketing manager at Time UK - and formerly an employee of Granville before the company went into administration - admitted the company faced a major task to convince people to trust the brand again.
'We are building a business from scratch. We're a smaller business and a smaller company. It's a lot tighter [management] team to stay in control of the business.'
He added: 'The plan is to take it steady and make sure customers that do choose to buy from Time get exceptional service and hopefully we can build the company back up.'
