Viiv is based on a set of Intel-prescribed technologies that aim to make it
easier for PCs to become the centre of your home entertainment system and, at
the same time, gives Intel a badly needed boost in the 'living room' market that
is dominated by consumer electronics companies.
The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD36G5M is aimed at those capable of building their
own home entertainment PC that won’t take up much room or break the bank.
The G5 chassis has an efficient power supply unit, SilentX technology for
quiet operation and the ICE cooling system.
It supports standard desktop components including Pentium 4 and Pentium D
processors, PCI Express graphics cards, optical drives and DDR2 memory.
The case is due to ship soon. Shuttle has not announced the price, but has
outlined the
case's
full specifications.
