Change your phone voice for £10

A new voice modification software program is aiming to liven up your internet-based calls and online gaming by letting you customise how you want to sound on the phone.

Designed to work with console and PC headsets, and voice over IP (VoIP) phones, the software, called Scramby, has been developed by Rapidsolution Software and allows you to radically alter your voice for use in games and calls.

You can choose from 30 pre-set speech and voice modification effects or make up your own.

There are also 130 ‘fun sounds’, background noises and audio effects to choose from, ranging from gunfire to cheering crowds. Users can also download and use their own audio clips.

For online gamers, such as those playing World of Warcraft, Scramby works with existing VoIP chat technology such as Teamspeak, allowing group members to create voices that suit their gaming characters. Scramby’s voices and background noise can be linked to keyboard shortcuts for quick access.
