PCW contributor Jon Thompson today won two prestigious honours at the BT Security Journalism Awards 2008. His feature 'Avoiding the Cybersnoops', published in the July 2007 issue of PCW, was named as the Best Privacy Feature of the Year. It also earned the Best Overall Information Security Feature of the Year award, against stiff competition from some of the UK's top IT journalists.

Jon's feature investigated how sensitive personal information can be mined from seemingly innocuous traces left by individuals during their day-to-day interactions with the internet.
