A new version of Firefox to be released on Tuesday packs a much-improved
bookmarks feature and the ability to resume interrupted downloads from the break
point.
Firefox 3 lets you sort bookmarks by topic and add keywords and tags. A new
button for bookmarking sites is similar to one available on Internet Explorer 7.
Phishing sites now face an outright block, rather than prompting a warning
message, and the browser is said to be faster and easier to use.
Firefox 3 is available for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems has been
on public beta test since November.
Version 9.5 of the rival Opera browser, used mostly on mobile devices, was
released a few days ago. Microsoft's Internet Explorer is still by far the most
used browser; version 8 is currently under test.
