Dragons is a computerised version of Mah-jong solitaire, a single player
variation to Mahjong. Mahjong is an ancient Chinese pastime brought to the
western world in the late 19th Century. Whilst its origins are unknown, it
is fabled that the Chinese philosopher Confucius invented it around 500 BC.

The objective of the game is to clear the board of tiles. To do this, you
must pair them up with identical or similar tiles. Tiles are often stacked
on top of each other and in order to access a lower tile one must first
remove the tiles above it.

The key to clearing the board is deciding on which tiles to get rid of and when, because if it becomes impossible to make a pair, you will lose.

The advantage of Dragons over other Mah-jong solitaire programs is that it
keeps track of all your past games and provides you with a variety of
useful tools such as the 'undo' and 'mix' buttons.

Dragons removes the tedium of having to set up the entire Mah-jong board every time you wish to play. It also prevents the player from cheating, but whether this feature is an advantage or a fault is up to you to decide.

Verdict

Dragons probably won't keep you entertained for a long period of time but
it is fun in short bursts and can prove to be very relaxing.
