Comedian
Jimmy
Carr has landed one of the world's first virtual gigs by taking his stand-up
routine to the
Second
Life community.
Carr will perform for a real-life audience of just 100 people and his actions
will be shown as a 3D character in the online world.
Fans can
win
tickets to the 3 February gig from
Carr's
MySpace website, choosing to visit the "top secret" London venue or see it
in the virtual surroundings.
Carr's gig is not the first meeting between the real and the virtual worlds.
Pop group
Duran
Duran is planning to perform in Second Life, and the
BBC has held
music festivals and a
Newsnight
interview in the online community.
