Electronic
Arts has announced a new line of games based on its successful
Sims
franchise.
The
Sims Stories are specially designed to run on laptops, and will feature the
usual open-ended gameplay.
The first of the new games,
The
Sims Life Stories, introduces an all-new Story Mode with two stories that
follow the lives of 'Riley Harlow' and 'Vincent Moore', two very different
characters who have reached similar crossroads in their love lives.
A comic romantic plot guides players through 12 chapters involving "unique
and entertaining storylines filled with romance, intrigue and dramatic twists".
"Everyone loves a good story, and The Sims Life Stories gives players two
wonderful romantic comedies to enjoy," said Rod Humble, vice president at EA and
head of studio for The Sims Division.
"For those who are interested in The Sims, The Sims Stories are accessible
and fun for everyone."
The hugely popular Sims franchise has been translated into 22 languages and
has sold more than 70 million games around the world.
