A technical error on the O2 website has apparently revealed pricing details
for iPhone 3G pay-and-go options.
Details were posted on Wednesday evening showing that the 8GB and 16GB models
carry respective price tags of £299.99 and £359.99 on any pay-and-go deals.
O2, the official iPhone operator in the UK, removed the details on Thursday
and has since failed to confirm or deny the prices for Apple's next-generation
phone for non-contract customers.
If the details are true, the deals compare favourably with the original
iPhone which cost £269 with a £35 monthly contract.
The cheapest iPhone 3G contract is expected to cost £30 per month, with an
additional £99 payment for the handset.
This may make the new phone an attractive option for customers looking for a
pay-as-you-go deal.
Such customers will also get six months' worth of unlimited web browsing for
free, although a £10 monthly charge will apply thereafter.
